Alliance Memory, Inc acquired asynchronous SRAM business from Alliance Semiconductor.
San Jose, California, July 10, 2006 –Alliance Memory, Inc; a worldwide provider of memory products today announced the acquisition of the Asynchronous SRAM business from Alliance Semiconductor of Santa Clara, California. This acquisition includes the IP, mask sets, patents, wafers, die bank, manufacturing rights and a large supply of finished goods previously held by Alliance Semiconductor. With this acquisition Alliance Memory, Inc. will maintain support for the existing Alliance Semiconductor customer base.
Alliance Memory, Inc supports the full range of 3.3V and 5V asynchronous SRAMs used with mainstream digital signal processors (DSPs) and microcontrollers. The part numbering system will remain the same in the transition from Alliance Semiconductor to Alliance Memory, Inc. “With the exit of the number one SRAM manufacturer from the market the marketplace today has thousands of customers requiring legacy products” says David Bagby, President and CEO of Alliance Memory, Inc.
