A Message from David Bagby

What a difference a year makes. This time last year, Alliance Memory wasn’t much more than a blip on the radar in the flash memory market. Fast forward to today, and we’ve introduced a dynamic range of flash memory devices that have put us squarely on the map. Alongside our existing offerings of AS29 series 5V parallel NOR flash, we’ve expanded our AS25F series of multiple input/output serial NOR flash memory products with new 1.8V, 128MB devices; expanded our AS5F series of SPI serial NAND flash; launched our new AS9F series of 1.8V and 3.3V SLC parallel NAND flash; and entered the eMMC market with 4GB to 128GB devices. And our timing couldn’t be better.

Currently, the supply chain for the flash market is tightening. To reduce inventory, major players have slowed down — or even stopped — production of eMMCs, which is creating longer lead times. Some are also increasing prices, with a few even withholding pricing until orders ship. At the same time, many of their customers’ stock surpluses — which they’ve relied on over the last three to six months — are running low, and they are faced with the prospect of reordering under these conditions.

But where there’s a challenge, there’s also an opportunity. In this landscape, Alliance Memory finds itself in the unique position of being able to fulfill the needs of these customers without increasing lead times or costs. So, as we say goodbye to 2023, your Alliance Memory team has every reason to be excited for our prospects in the upcoming year.

Stay safe and thanks as always for your support.

David Bagby
President and CEO, Alliance Memory
