Alliance Memory

Manufacturer of Legacy Memory SRAM, DRAM, and Flash ICs

December 15, 2014

December 2014 Quarterly Newsletter

FROM THE PRESIDENT: 2014 IN REVIEW

This has been an incredibly positive year for Alliance Memory. ce_bagbySince you’re reading this, you’re probably already aware of our history-making agreement with Micron to provide a continuing source of key synchronous DRAMs, an agreement that’s historic because it was concluded proactively, before the devices were actually obsolesced. That was big news, but from our point of view the bigger story is how our product portfolio has evolved to include more and more DRAM products — including DDR1, DDR2, DDR3, and low-power mobile DRAM ICs. The fact is that our DRAM business has grown by an order of magnitude just in the past year. Not bad for a company that was conceived not so long ago as a supplier exclusively of legacy SRAM memory ICs. But change is the nature of our business, and today’s bleeding edge memory technology becomes tomorrow’s legacy technology at an ever faster pace. What doesn’t change is the need for a reliable source of the memory chips you need as a manufacturer, and this is one area where Alliance Memory has worked particularly hard to differentiate ourselves from the competition. Fortunately we’ve had some wonderful partners in this effort. We are very grateful in particular to Digi-Key and Mouser for all they’ve done to get the word out about our DRAM product line and to get these new parts qualified by an ever larger number of customers.

Thanks to you, we’ve had a great 2014 and we’re looking forward to an even better 2015. All of us at Alliance Memory send you our best wishes for a joyous holiday season and a happy and successful new year.

David Bagby
President and CEO

GREG MILLER JOINS ALLIANCE MEMORY AS DIRECTOR OF SALES
GregMillerWe’re pleased to announce that Greg Miller has joined the Alliance Memory team as Director of Sales. In his new role, Greg will serve as the worldwide sales account manager for Alliance Memory’s customer Jabil — a leading supply chain management and electronic manufacturing partner — with an emphasis on the Florida market.

Greg comes to Alliance Memory from BFG Systems, where he led the development of the company’s manufacturing and supply chain strategy. In addition to holding key positions at Rolls Royce, Celestica, Eaton Corp., and Intel, he served for eight years at Jabil in a number of capacities, including director of global business unit materials and director of global commodity management.

“Alliance Memory is built on a solid legacy IC foundation and is moving in the right direction with its recent product introductions, including mobile low-power double data rate (DDR), DDR2, and DDR3 SDRAMs,” says Greg. “In addition, the company takes great pride in its response time for customers and its excellent service and support. It’s an exciting time to join Alliance Memory and I look forward to contributing to its continued success.”

Greg can be reached at greg@alliancememory.com.
