NEW 2M X 32 AND 4M X 32 HIGH-SPEED CMOS SDRAMS IN 90-BALL TFBGA AND 86-PIN TSOP II PACKAGES
We’ve extended our 64M and 128M lines of high-speed CMOS synchronous DRAMs (SDRAM) with a new 2M x 32 device in the 90-ball 8-mm by 13-mm by 1.2-mm TFBGA package and a 4M x 32 device in the 86-pin 400-mil plastic TSOP II package.
The new devices are reliable drop-in, pin-for-pin compatible replacements for a number of similar solutions in industrial, telecom, and consumer products requiring high memory bandwidth. For these applications, the AS4C2M32S-7TCN and AS4C4M32S-7TCN feature fast access time from clock down to 5.4 ns and fast clock rates to 166 MHz.
Offering a commercial temperature range of 0 °C to 70 °C, the SDRAMs operate from a single +3.3-V (± 0.3 V) power supply and are lead (Pb)- and halogen-free. The devices provide programmable read or write burst lengths of 1, 2, 4, 8, or full page, with a burst termination option. An auto pre-charge function provides a self-timed row pre-charge initiated at the end of the burst sequence. Easy-to-use refresh functions include auto- or self-refresh, while a programmable mode register allows the system to choose the most suitable modes to maximize performance.

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT WITH DIGI-KEY
Alliance Memory has signed a global distribution agreement with Digi-Key, a leading online electronic component distributor. Under the agreement, Digi-Key is now carrying and providing technical support for our entire line-up of SRAMs and DRAMs.
“Alliance Memory’s versatile, pin-for-pin compatible legacy memory parts are a solution because they help customers lower costs and eliminate redesigns,” said Mark Zack, Digi-Key’s vice-president for global semiconductor products. “We are pleased to add their rich portfolio of memory options with varying voltages, densities, speeds, and capacities to our line card, giving customers new product design options and flexibility.”

FROM THE PRESIDENT
I find myself looking back on 2013 with a sense of pride, accomplishment and gratitude. 2013 was a year of building. It was also a year in which our product mix diversified in a notable way. Seven years ago we expected Alliance Memory would focus for a long time to come on legacy SRAM products only. Yet as we start 2014 we note a growing proportion of our business is in DRAMs and with a product range that now includes double data rate synchronous DRAMs (SDRAM, DDR1, DDR2, and soon DDR3) with densities from 64M to 4GB.
As a company our revenues grew 25% in 2013 over 2012 and we fully expect our revenue to grow again by this amount in 2014. We continue to gain market share and be a recognized leader in legacy memory solutions. We have many exciting things planned for 2014 — including exhibits at the Electronica shows in Shanghai in March and Munich in November. We look forward to meeting with you and sharing more good things throughout the year.
