SAN CARLOS, Calif. — Sept. 16, 2013 — Alliance Memory announced that it has bolstered support for its customers in Japan with the appointment of Ted Kasahara as country manager. In his new role, Mr. Kasahara is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with Alliance Memory’s customers in the Japanese market.
“We’ve been very successful in penetrating the Japan market with our SRAM and synchronous DRAM products over the last few years, and the addition of Ted to our team is a key step in maintaining the levels of service and support that our customers rely on,” said Dan Gilbert, vice president of sales at Sales Alliance Memory. “With the depth of his industry knowledge and experience in the Japanese market, he will provide an invaluable resource for our existing customers, while allowing us to develop new relationships throughout the country.”
“I worked for Alliance Semiconductor before Alliance Memory acquired its fast asynchronous product line, so I’m familiar with the technology and how it meets the needs of the Japanese market,” said Mr. Kasahara. “I am very excited to contribute my knowledge to the Alliance Memory team, and look forward to working closely with our customers in Japan as we help them to avoid costly redesigns with our legacy components.”
Before joining Alliance Memory, Mr. Kasahara served as president of Kasahara Trading Ltd., where he promoted and distributed a wide range of products, including connectors for memory cards, hydraulic cylinders, and machinery for semiconductors. Previously, as area sales manager for Alliance Semiconductor Corp., he established the company’s Japan office and organized its distributor network.
Kasahara is based in Tokyo and reports to Mr. Gilbert.
